Mercy Home for Boys and Girls - Ringside
Celebrating its 20th anniversary, Ringside for Mercy’s Sake is a one-of-a-kind annual black-tie fundraising gala in Chicago, and helps Mercy Home for Boys & Girls provide a solution for kids in crisis. Chicago School Supply staff will proudly support and join in for an evening of dining, dancing, auctions, and the highlight of the night, live boxing bouts between employees of the financial industry’s leading firms.
Through their residential, aftercare, referral and community-based mentoring programs, Mercy Home provides critical, life-saving services to more than 650 hurting and troubled young women and men every year.
At the core of these services is Mercy Home's full-time residential program, which provides around-the-clock care in a safe and stable home for 134 young people, ages 11 to 21. There, children who have suffered abuse, neglect, poverty and abandonment are given the opportunity to rebuild their lives and the encouragement to realize their dreams. Through therapeutic, academic and vocational support, Mercy Home helps them grow into healthy adults who go on to pursue higher education, secure good jobs, and raise loving families of their own.
The 20th annual Ringside for Mercy’s Sake will be hosted on Saturday, October 15, 2011, at the Downtown Chicago Marriott.
