Chicago School Supply and its' staff members are proud to donate to and participate in the Building a Foundation social event hosted by Answer 4 Kids Cancer - A Chicago Children's Cancer Research Foundation.
The Building a Foundation event will take place on Saturday, May 13, 2011 from 7:00-10:00P.M. at the Brick House Tavern+Tap - 1461 Butterfield Road, Downers Grove. There will be great items to bid on or win. Proceeds of this event will benefit the Cancer Stem Cell Project of the Neuroblastoma Lab. This project will study the role that neuroblastoma cancer stem cells play in the recurrence of tumor and drug resistance.
Admission is $60.00 per person. This is a casual, social event. Ticket purchase includes Brick House signature food items, 2 cocktails, and the opportunity to participate in the silent auction and the raffle.

A4KC's mission is to provide support to researchers working on childhood cancers in Chicago. Specifically, A4KC will focus on supporting work on the more rare tumors that are often overlooked for national funding including neuroblastoma, retinoblastoma, rhabdomyosarcoma and osteosarcoma. An additional focus is to make the Chicago community aware of the groundbreaking research being done at Children's Memorial Hospital in these areas.
