Science Fair Sanity - Free curriculum and project ideas

Chicago School Supply works closely with the Chicago Public Schools' Office of Math and Science to provide unique resources for their student science fair. Through this relationship, we uncovered a few major challenges that the students faced when developing their science fair projects.

We discovered that many students could acquire a basic display board for their project, but that there were not adequate opportunites to purchase the additional resources that they needed to complete the display. Problem? A junky looking display board.

 

The solution that Chicago School Supply presented was the Science Fair Buffet© - a smorgasbord of materials for displaying an award winning project. For $10, each student selects their own combination of colors for: a three sided display board, decorative trim to frame their board, punch-out letters to add a title to their board, and a pack of the scientific title cards (i.e. Introduction, Hypothesis, Data, Conclusion, etc.).

 

 

The Science Fair Buffet© solved one challenge that the students were facing. Another challenge was finding quality project ideas and instruction to assist in developing a truly scientific science fair project. The solution?
